PROJECT ARCHITECT " ARTS, COMMUNITY & EDUCATION PROJECT STUDIO Sacramento, California JOB TITLE: Project Architect " Arts, Community and Education Project Studio OFFICE LOCATION: Sacramento, CA TERM: Full-Time Permanent Hire COMPENSATION: Highly competitive compensation package plus benefits and performance bonus JOB DESCRIPTION: Prestigious National Architecture & Engineering Design firm actively seeks talented, skilled, and experienced Project Architect to join our thriving Arts, Community and Education project studio in Sacramento, CA. Project Architect Qualifications and Experience Needed: Currently Registered / Licensed Architect preferred Bachelor's or Masters degree in Architecture or closely related field Minimum of 7 + years of professional architectural industry experience working on small to large-scale projects such as K-12 education, higher education, commercial and community projects. Must have strong design skills K-12 Education ( DSA ) or Higher Education project experience is strongly preferred. Past architectural experience pertaining to academic classroom buildings, science buildings, teaching labs, student housing or academic libraries is a plus. LEED accreditation strongly preferred Proficient working knowledge of Revit (Strongly Preferred) Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and other industry accepted software and Microsoft Office Suite products is needed Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly with team members; ability to interact with clients at all stages of a project from initial client meeting (pre and post interview) through project occupancy Demonstrated ability to oversee and be responsible for project delivery which may be multiple, large or complex in scope Project Architect Role and Responsibilities include: Develops a thorough understanding of projects design philosophy and provides major input in developing a design and building performance strategy and effectively conveys this to assigned team members when appropriate Provides technical design input. Responsible for a projects technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination and quality control efforts during all phases of project work, in close collaboration with the client and project team Seeks creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documents to support these solutions Actively collaborates with and coordinates work of consultants and knowledge resources to ensure the project deliverables are coordinated, integrated and support the design concept and performance goals of the project Contributes to the preparation of design documents and leads the detailed development of construction documents during all project phases, delivering complete, accurate and coordinated project documentation Advances the production of schematic, design development and construction documents drawings and specifications in compliance with project scope, schedule, cost and design intent Maintains awareness of evolving building technology and systems Performs construction administration duties (e.g. RFIs, RFPs, change orders, etc.) Executes applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.) Maintains contact with clients, consultants and contractors during all project phases, participating in marketing, client and owner presentations as required OUR FIRM: National multidisciplinary Architecture & Engineering Design firm with over 60 years of experience providing superb modern design through collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to meeting and exceeding expectations.
