Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the
maintenance team. Manages a group of engineers, technicians, supply
chain manager, material handlers, and stock clerks. Manages
contract negotiations and deliverables from vendors. Drives safety,
equipment reliability, and productivity through planning,
scheduling, analyzing, delegating, and overseeing the preventative
maintenance, calibration, repairs and installation of complex
manufacturing equipment such as robotic welders, CNC machines,
hydraulic presses, coordinated lifting equipment, remote controlled
equipment movers, three-phase rectifiers, cranes, hoists, pumps,
motors, and other industrial equipment. These systems are critical
to production and require maximum uptime to meet production goals.
The successful candidate will be accountable for driving a safety
focused culture and achieving equipment uptime goals.
What your day-to-day will look like:
--- Responsible for management of preventative maintenance program
and dispatching of appropriate personnel for repairing
equipment.
--- Ensuring appropriate staffing levels
--- Overseeing consumption and stocking levels of production
consumables
--- Responsible for accuracy of job hazard evaluations, standard
work instructions, PM task descriptions, and troubleshooting flow
charts.
--- Responsible for personnel training including hazard
recognition, LOTO, PIV safety, electrical safety, fall protection,
confined space entry.
--- Responsible for equipment overhaul planning which will include
hazard evaluations, LOTO, material and labor estimates as well as
equipment down time estimates.
--- Review and update plant and equipment drawings.
--- Consult with production management on recommendations for
equipment improvement, modification, or replacement.
--- Manage CMMS to ensure proper tracking and provide reporting on
equipment reliability and uptime.
--- Ensure proper stocking and organization of spare parts for
critical equipment.
--- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support and
training to team.
What skills and experience do you need to have:
--- Prior management experience leading a technical team.
--- Ability to drive a culture of being safety focused.
--- A thorough understanding of OSHA, NFPA70E, and ISO
9001industrial standards.
--- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, loop
drawings, hydraulic diagrams, P&ID's and blueprints.
--- An understanding of three-phase power, scales, and encoders
--- Proficiency in physics as it relates to pneumatics, hydraulics,
mass, motion, electrical charge, and thermodynamics.
--- An understanding of the components used in hydraulic,
pneumatic, and electrical circuits.
--- Must demonstrate a can-do attitude and be eager to learn.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
--- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
--- 5 years' experience working in a production or processing
plant.
--- Experience working on VFD and Servo Drives
--- Mechanical experience with motion control components such as
linear bearing, gears, and splines are a plus.
--- Understanding of rectifiers and inverters
--- Experience with RTD's, pressure transmitters, level
transmitters, and switches
--- Common instrumentation loop experience
--- Absolute and incremental encoders experience
It would be beneficial if you had:
--- Experience with machine guarding safety components such as
light curtains, laser scanners, safety switches, estops and safety
relays, motor and motion control.
--- Experience with Siemens Sinumeric CNC controls and Siemens
STEP7 controls

salary range in Sacramento, CA, is $106,800 - $144,400 with an
annual incentive target of 5% of the base salary. The salary may be
higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's
experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
