This includes ensuring that all compliance requirements are known, there are documented processes, and that evidence of compliance exists. The department is the primary liaison with the CPUC for audits, data requests, customer complaints, and emergency reporting of electric incidents. The department's QA group provides an independent assessment of performance measured against policy, standards & procedures.Position SummaryThe Compliance & Risk Consultant, Expert will be part of a team that is responsible for managing the daily activities between PG&E and the Safety Enforcement Division (SED) of the CPUC including: oversight of Electric Audits performed by SED, coordinating Electric Audit Reports, managing SED customer complaints, and coordinating responses to SED Notices of Violations and oversight of Electric Ops' Self-Report process. This position has a periodic, one-week, On-Call requirement responsible for being on call if WSD notifies PG&E of any severe defects found during its inspections. On-Call responsibilities generally occur three to four times per year. This position also requires occasional travel to various divisions.PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of thejob posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will bebased on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience,market value, geographic location, and internal equity.Although, we estimate the successful candidate hired into this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.A reasonable salary range is:Annual Minimum: $108,000.00Annual Maximum: $173,000.00Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the team's handling of electric audits performed by SED (Safety Enforcement Division) and WSD (Wildfire Safety Division), from pre-audit, during audit, post audit data requests, through audit letter responses.
  • Assist in extracting and compiling CPUC Audit Data for each CPUC audit; various types of data requested by CPUC include but not limited to Standards and Procedures, GIS maps, notification data, reliability metrics etc.
  • Coordinate with appropriate LOBs to address escalated CPUC Customer Complaints through resolution.
  • Regular and ongoing verbal and written interaction with the SED staff.
  • Develop understanding of CPUC General Orders and requirements and provide the LOB with requirement interpretations.
  • Lead Guidance Document creation, updates for the department work functions (Standards, Procedures, job aids, process flows).
  • Lead process improvements, workflows and documentation to support.
  • Prepare reports for ad hoc requests from senior management, law department, external communications, safety engineering, law claims, and other departments. Analyze results and draw conclusions.QualificationsMinimum:
    • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering, Policy, Accounting or any other related field preferred) or equivalent experience
    • Seven (7) years of experience in compliance, law, accounting or project management including some experience in a project leadership role managing multiple and complex projects
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Travel Required: Up to 20 % of the timeDesired:
      • Master's Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
      • PE-Professional Engineer license
      • Demonstrated experience facilitating process improvement efforts, Lean Six Sigma experience
      • CISSP-Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification
      • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
      • NERC-North American Electric Reliability Corporation System Operator certification#featuredjob
