Penske Logistics is seeking a proven leader with relevant experience and skills to join our team of logistics professionals. We are seeking a candidate to provide leadership at one of our warehousing operations.

About the Role:
• Responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor scheduling, training of personnel, supervision, and proper utilization of space, equipment and manpower.
• Key responsibilities include: staffing, warehouse operations, maintenance of the facility and equipment, implementation of safety/security/housekeeping and sanitation programs.
• Reviews bills of lading/purchase orders for incoming merchandise and customer order to plan work activities.
• Assigns workers to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of a storing incoming products and getting customer order ready for delivers.
• Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping of warehouse inventory.
• Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Leads 30-40 employees in the Dry, Chilled and Frozen Pick Process.
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these processes.
• Carries about supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, safety training; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Internet software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

• 2 - 4 years related functional experience
-• High School Diploma or equivalent required
-• Bachelor's Degree preferred
-• Strong written/oral communication skills and the ability to actively listen are required
-• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
-• Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency
-• Must have ability to connect and build rapport/relationships with associates and external customers at all levels
-• Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills
-• Ability to manage through a problem and think and make decisions independently
-• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change
-• Experience with inventory management system preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
