Job Description:
Serve as lead to section staff, provide on the job training to
lower-level professional accountants, and provide input on the
distribution of unit assignments in the operation of an efficient
professional accounting unit. Operation of the unit includes
analyzing, processing, securing, and disbursing of Headquarters'
Office Revolving Fund Checks and State Controller's Office (SCO)
warrants/claim schedules

Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the
California State Legislature. We manage California's water

Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's

experience, the following factors will provide the basis for

We are seeking candidates who possess an understanding of the State
payroll process, and the ability to analyze and interpret laws,
rules, regulations, and procedures while maintaining accuracy and
security; are organized, motivated, and can successfully work under
and meet tight deadlines. Have good customer service experience;
have experience in problem solving-issue resolution techniques;
possesses the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in
writing; the ability to work as a team player with other DWR staff,
State agencies, private contracting agencies, and legal entities;
and the ability to work as a lead as well as independently.
Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SAP.
