Buyer 2
Amentum is seeking a full-time Journeyman Buyer for an upcoming multi-$billion contract to provide U.S. Foregin Military Sales (FMS) customers with parts, part repairs and task orders to support their air, ground and surface fleets.

• 
  Assess and coordinate order requirements; identify, research, identify and assess sources for routine to challenging requirements.
  
  
• 
  Analyze program data.
  
  
• 
  Provide research/price and availability data and all efforts associated with supply contract actions.
  
  
• 
  Procure materials, parts and components necessary to support a wide variety of platforms, including aging and out-of-production systems.
  
  
• 
  Ensure conformance to design specifications, e.g. commercial, federal, or OEM.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate and track shipping from supplier to customer.
  
  
• 
  Support warranty claim investigations.
  
  
  Must be a US citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Background Investigation.
  This position is virtual. Must provide a safe and effective workplace suitable for effective teleworking during working hours. Amentum will provide mobile phone, computer and email.
  REQUIREMENTS
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelors Degree or equivalent from a four year college and 2 or more years' related procurement experience
    
    
  • 
    Ability to identify, research, assess, and process information on sources, items and services
    
    
  • 
    Experience with competitive and sole source purchasing
    
    
  • 
    Experience working within a Government-approved purchasing system
    
    
  • 
    Experience placing, recording and tracking moderate value commerical orders ($3,500-$10,000) using a supply chain managment software system
    
    
  • 
    Detail-oriented, with ability to keep accurate records
    
    
  • 
    Superior communication and customer service skills
    
    
  • 
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and various computer software programs
    
    
  • 
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

    US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Background Investigation
