**Production Technician - Calibration and Tool Crib
Specialist**Join our team at a premier train manufacturing facility

Calibration and Tool Crib Specialist, you will provide support for
various activities in a dynamic and energetic tool crib team, which
caters to operations by supplying indirect materials like
consumables and bulk purchases. Your core responsibility will be
the main point of contact for calibrating hand tools, tracking
their calibrated due dates, and planning to send some tools to
vendors for calibration.What we offer:Full-time positionOvertime

reimbursementWhat you will do:Perform tasks that require knowledge
of a combination of processes, procedures, operation, and
equipment.Duties may include, but are not limited to, cycle
counting of material in Buildings 2 and 4.Maintain tool crib
operation, distribute tools as needed, perform consumables and hand
tools inventory and stock keeping tasks, prepare returns to
vendors, identify ordering points, and place purchase requisitions
as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors as needed.Support safety programs
through various activities including maintenance of tooling,
equipment and stocking personal.Utilize small hand tools and
operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet
handlers, hand trucks, and the like.Use computer programs to
maintain accurate material flow, calibration, hand tools, and
consumables related information.
- Provide notifications to appropriate personnel to reorder
material.What you need to be successful:
- 2-4 years of prior experience with tool calibration and stock
room operations with forklift experience.
- Valid California driver's license.
- Basic English skills - ability to read and understand written
instructions and effectively communicate verbally.
- High school education or GED
- Data entry and basic computer experience.**We would be
impressed if you have:**Experience with repairing or calibrating
hand tools is desirable.2 years of technical training or an
associate degree.Familiarity with inventory and
