Job Description:
Description: OVERVIEW: Responsible for successful management of
the site information technology systems. Conducts computer and
system updates. Conducts software updates. Employee effects minor
hardware repairs. Install and sets up new equipment. Process
systems rights authorizations. Provide IT technical support to site
staff. Demonstrates on-going commitment to preparing young people

skills; 8. independent living. MAJOR ACTIVITIES PERFORMED: 1.
Demonstrates and abides by the Company Core Values, company
operating principles, Career Success Standards. 2. Assists students
in adjusting to Center life to enhance student retention by
providing supervision, behavior modification, counseling, and by
acting as a positive role model and mentor. 3. Ensures that student
needs are met in a timely professional manner with the highest
degree of customer service in mind. 4. Adheres to all PRH and
company policies and procedures, and the Center Operating
Procedures. 5. Prepares reports and forms and documents in CIS case
notes and files observations of student's behavior, performance,
notable information or events, and progress towards achieving goals
and objectives. 6. Maintains confidentiality, but reports
significant events or situations immediately through approved
channels to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students
and staff, and to ensure that required reporting occurs, and that
students receive emergency services as needed. 7. Facilitates
prompt and appropriate assistance to students in the event of
injury, illness, or emotional trauma. 8. Ensures equipment and
assigned work areas are clean and maintained in accordance with
Center, CSD, and DOL standards, including conducting quarterly
property counts, submitting property relocation requests, may serve
as a property custodian, and submits maintenance requests as
needed. Process excess equipment requests for outdated equipment.
9. Provides information processing, systems counseling, training
and guidance to Center students and staff in regard to Center
computer systems and Computer Labs. 10. Assists with the
implementation and maintenance of computers, networks, peripherals,
and software applications necessary in the Job Corps information
system. 11. Develops job aids, check lists, training and resource
materials for tasks performed in software applications. 12.
Provides individual and group instruction, as needed, on the use of
communications and computer equipment, software applications, and
on network features 13. Assists students and staff with application
problems and responds to and resolves end user technical problems
with communication and computer systems. 14. Performs system
updates, sets up new computer equipment, and conducts minor
equipment repair and or arranges for more complicated repairs. 15.
Acts as a property custodian for excess computer and communication
equipment. 16. Acts as property custodian for IT area. 17.
Processes user application request for Center staff with the data
center and monitors staff separations with human resources to
terminate access government and company systems. 18. Attends staff
training sessions as required. 19. Performs other duties as

RECEIVED: By the Admin Director, Data Center, CSD Corporate Office
Direct: Must work under uniform and defined CSD policies and
procedures of the PRH, and SOPs RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY: a)
Employee Relations: Must maintain an effective working relationship
with all facility staff b) Material or Product: Within the scope of
the position c) Equipment: Within the scope of the position d)
Money: Not Applicable e) Business Contacts: a. Internal: Facility
Staff b. External: Center visitors, government officials and
corporate personnel QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum: Associates degree in
computer technology and two year experience in the field.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related field or an equivalent
combination of higher education and professional experience. One
year of work-related experience and demonstrated
knowledge/skills/abilities working with computers and software.
Previous Job Corps experience General Information: In order to
perform the essential job functions of this position, candidate
must have regular attendance. Knowledge Required: Ability to
install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and
software applications. Ability to obtain a state and/or commercial
driver's license if required. Excellent communication skills, both
oral and written. Good organization skills. Knowledge of basic
training techniques. Ability to effectively relate to student
population. Good presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to
manage complex, multiple projects. Must obtain and maintain CPR/FA
