Environmental Planning, Inc. (HELIX), a growing, employee-owned
environmental consulting and planning firm, is seeking a Landscape
Designer for its Roseville or Folsom office. HELIX provides
landscape architecture, environmental planning, biological
resources, regulatory compliance, habitat restoration, cultural
resources, acoustical, air quality, and GIS services to both the

We are looking for an ambitious, creative, organized, and motivated
landscape designer to assist with the preparation of conceptual
landscape plans, supporting graphics/exhibits, site analysis,
construction documents, construction administration, report
writing, cost estimates, and public outreach. Our projects include
parks and recreational facilities, trails and open space, master
plans, transportation and infrastructure, commercial and
institutional facilities. Our culture is rooted in collaboration
and communication, so this position is best suited for a candidate
with an eagerness to learn, a positive attitude, strong verbal,
graphic, and written communication skills, and the ability to work
within a team environment. This individual must have the ability to
coordinate effectively with their project manager, and to
prioritize and complete high-quality work within specified
deadlines. Attention to detail, including strong writing,
proofreading, and organizational skills, is required. Lastly, we

Requirements for a Landscape Designer:Bachelor's degree or Master's
degree in Landscape Architecture (graduation date of June 2023 or
earlier) Excellent written and interpersonal communication
skillsStrong computer skills including proficiency in AutoCAD,
Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of
commonly used California native and ornamental plants Additional
qualifications considered a plus for Landscape Designer:Intern,
volunteer or other experience in a landscape architecture or
related field (outside of academic requirements)Proficiency with
LandF/X, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Rhino, Sketchup, Lumion
and/or other graphical programsRelated coursework associated with
the principles of ecology, biology, land use planning,
environmental engineering, and/or related topics Understanding of
