Pacific Specialty Insurance Company is a large regional carrier in California, but consistently writes business in 4 other states as well. As a Casualty Claims Representative, you will oversee and have direct management of Casualty/Property, Liability, Homeowners and Material Damage Claims. Duties and Responsibilities will include but not are not limited to the following: -- Investigating, evaluating, and resolving low complexity to highly complexity insurance claims.-- Reviewing and interpreting insurance policies to make appropriate coverage determinations.-- Investigating and determining liability in multiple States based on liability statues in that specific State.-- Interviewing claimants and witnesses in order to accurately determine coverage and liability outcomes. -- Procuring, evaluating, and negotiating bodily injury and property damage settlements with first and third-party claimants and their attorneys.-- Ensuring claims are not fraudulent and referring to SIU as necessary.-- Assigning IA and field to inspect, estimate, run valuations and resolve property damage and total loss claims. -- Actively representing the company and clients by leading or participating in litigation claims where necessary. -- Ensuring that all claims are managed in compliance or conformity with the company guidelines and regulatory requirements. What background, credentials and skills are needed to be successful in this position:-- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with claimants, interview witnesses or job professionals, and write and submit accurate reports to management.-- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to negotiate settlements or claims with claimants and their respective attorneys. -- Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to critically examine damages.-- Comfortable working in an innovative, fast-paced, team-oriented environment with changing priorities.-- Ability to make timely and accurate decisions for coverage, liability and damages. -- Well-developed organizational and time management skills. -- 5+ years of relevant property and casualty claims experience.-- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Other Important Information: Location(s) - Preferred in Sacramento, California or RemoteCompetitive Compensation - Salaries will be established to commensurate with experience. This is an hourly position which allows for you to be eligible for overtime occasionally, which increases your earning potential.
