Job Description:
**Overview**We are seeking a **Data Architect** to contribute to
EMSL's data management activities, focused on collection and
storage of metadata and data in accordance with accepted standards.
Applicants should have a skill set that includes a strong
background in a relevant domain (e.g., molecular biology or
environmental science), knowledge of relevant data standards (e.g.,
Darwin Core) and ontologies (e.g., ENVO), and strong organizational
skills. Experience with proteomics or metabolomics data types, and
version control through platforms like GitHub is highly
recommended.**Responsibilities**+ Designs, develops, and implements
methods, processes, and systems to analyze diverse data.+ Applies
knowledge of statistics, mathematics, machine learning, data
modeling and high performance data architectures, software
development, and advanced computing to integrate and prepare data;
invent and implement computational methods for complex,
high-dimensional, and high-volume data analysis; and make
discoveries from structured and/or unstructured data.+ Produces
software to support exploratory data analysis from complex and
high-dimensional datasets. Designs, develops, and evaluates models
and algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from data.+
Demonstrates ability to transfer skills across application
domains.**Qualifications**Minimum Qualifications:+ BS/BA with 2
years of experience+ MS/MA with 0-2 years of experience+ PhD with 0
