Your Role
The Talent Acquisition team in support of the Altais business unit. The candidate will possess a high level of technical recruitment experience, intelligence, market understanding, negotiation skills regarding compensation administration for below director segment. The Talent Advisor, Senior will report to the Manager, Talent Acquisition for the Altais Business Unit. In this role you will be leading and/or executing strategy changes to business and advertising. Executes Hiring Plan. Facilitate hiring plan and strategy meetings with HRBP/business leaders. Primary goal is to manage relationship and oversee total process for business unit.
Your Work
In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the recruiting process in the identification, assessment and nurturing of external and internal talent using creative, proactive, cutting edge recruitment methods
  • Develop relationships and elicit clear requirements for positions across several areas of a business units/Talent Acquisition functional areas
  • Counsel hiring managers and others on hiring procedures and provide any needed coaching on interviewing techniques
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy, including appropriate media and advertising, to source or direct sourcing efforts to develop a pool of qualified applicants/candidates for each assigned open position
  • Ensure all appropriate documentation is maintained in employee file through hiring process and ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations regarding hiring and initial employment
  • Directs a sourcing strategy through colleges, trade schools, community agencies, professional groups and organizations and other recruiting sources to ensure staffing goals and priorities are being met
  • Is active in local staffing/recruiting professional networks and develops and maintains relationships with representatives from other companies
  • Maintains and gains knowledge and expertise in staffing/recruiting best practices, wage and salary laws, employee benefits, and general human resources practices
  • Maintains information and provides reports as required that identify key staffing/recruiting metrics
  • Works collaboratively with other areas of HR to ensure that broad HR policies and practices are in alignment with Blue Shield of California mission and objectivesYour Knowledge and Experience
    • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
    • Previous talent acquisition experience in a technology environment is preferred
    • Must possess extensive experience in managing expectations and relationships with internal business clients
    • Demonstrates ability to executive hiring plans and adapt to strategic changes
    • Experience with cold calling candidates to identify lists of potential prospects to leverage for current and future positions is highly preferred
    • Experience leveraging both candidate and employee referrals for current and future positions
