Job Description:
Position Overview: The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care
setting manages the patient/family experience through utilization
of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and
nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.Qualifications: Education
including Licensure, Certification, Registration:Current licensure
California RN. Must have current American Heart Association
BLS-HCPC recognition. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
BS preferred. Certified Emergency Nursing certification preferred.
Current ACLS Recognition required. Current PALS Certification
required. Experience:Proven experience in ED. One (1) year of
nursing experience preferred, ideally in an Emergency Department.
Certified Emergency Nursing certification preferred. Emergency
Department experience preferred. Knowledge:Must have demonstrated
knowledge of basic nursing skills and effective English written and
communication skills. In depth knowledge of nursing process in
assessment of physical, psychosocial and psychological needs of
patients. Aware of adult learning principles in providing teaching
of patients and families. Skills:Independently practices and
prioritize multiple demands in a ever-changing environment. Good
interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and teamwork
skills is required. Must have problem-solving
