At this pivotal stage in our growth journey, we are looking for like-minded individuals to help us build a new kind of logistics that makes customers' lives easier and plays an active role in their achievements.We have an immediate opportunity for an OS Clerk with Customer Service skills to join our award-winning team!Position: OS ClerkHours: 07:30-16:00 Monday - Friday Position Summary: Responsible for processing all overages, shortages, and damages occurring in their terminal while working in conjunction with other terminals in resolving OS issues with the desired result of eliminating repetitive OS issues. Duties will include but not be limited to the following:Must be detail oriented and organized.Must possess good communication skills.Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel. AS400 and previous transportation experience is a PlusRun the undelivered report each morning, checking for any undelivered freight and following up on each.Review the on-time report and all delivery receipts with exceptions from the previous day. Determine which ones need a follow up with regards to damage or potential claim.The OS clerk, along with the Dock Supervisor, must check the dock every morning for any freight that is "over without billing" (OWB), distressed and/or refused.The OS clerk, with management approval, shall cross-train additional support staff to help cover during time off, vacation, peak hours or when additional help is necessary.The OS clerk will receive all driver exception calls.The OS clerk shall obtain copies of all line manifests, pick-up manifests, bills of lading and supervisor load sheets, reviewing exceptions taken, also looking for problems missed during previous steps, and watching for trends of damage occurring in freight handling. Monitor trends in customer shortages among same vendors. All trend patterns must be reported.Answer all OS and claims calls as they come in, taking appropriate action and follow up.Other duties as assigned.Requirements: Must be able to successfully pass drug/physical and background screening.Benefits: We value our employees and offer an excellent benefit package after 60 days of employment.
