Job Description And Duties

The Student Assistant is a position offered to currently enrolled college students and as a learning opportunity that provides great potential for personal development and career experience. As a Student Assistant under close supervision and in a learner capacity, you will use your strong attention to detail to perform routine accounting functions. You will have support from your team members and supervisor.

Under the close supervision the Accounting Administrator II, the Student Assistant, in a learner capacity, performs routine accounting functions which includes posting to registers and the General Ledger, generating and reconciling reports, processing correspondence, maintaining logs, and assisting staff with assignments.

This is a non-testing classification, therefore anyone meeting the minimum qualifications listed on the classification specification may apply for this position. Individuals who are, or have been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth, or a formerly incarcerated youth as defined by Government Code section 18220 are encouraged to apply and will be given priority.
