Job DescriptionTitle: Referral Specialist/Customer ServiceLocation: Sacramento, CA 95834 (Remote until team rolls back into office)Duration: 3 months contractJob Description:Assist in monitoring utilization of medical services to assure cost effective use of medical resources through processing prior authorizations.Job Responsibilities:Data entry all documents that are being received (clinicals, notifications of admissions, prior authorizations, etc.).Initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list.Route to appropriate staff when needed.Verify eligibility and benefits .Answer phone queues and process faxes within established standards.Education/Experience:Ability to work weekends (will change every 6 weeks)Detail Oriented + Critical thinker - there will be grey areas and you'll need to make decisions based off the information providedAttendance - first 30 days will be for training- CANNOT take time offExposure to high-speed workplace - will be receiving documents very quicklyCan type minimum of 35 WPM 1 year healthcare industry experienceAbility to distinguish medical documents (in-patient records)#prof6
