The Supervisor of Respiratory Care:
the clinical and technical performance of respiratory care staff
throughout all areas of inpatient and acute care.
and technical scope of practice for inpatient and acute care in
conjunction with respiratory care services manager and medical
director. Participates in selection, training, evaluating, and
counseling of respiratory care practitioners.
preparation of operating and capital budgets. Applies management
and leadership principles consistent with Asante guiding values to
ensure excellent service is provided to all patients and customers
of the Respiratory Care department.
experience in respiratory care, consisting of at least 4 years as a
lead respiratory practitioner in adult , neonatal intensive care,
or cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
*RRT: Registered Respiratory Therapist
*RT-P: Respiratory Therapist Permanent (RT-P) by the
Oregon Respiratory Therapy Licensing Board
*BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS)
*ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
*Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care
*CPFT: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist
*RPFT: Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist
