INVESTMENT DIRECTOR, PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM Final Filing Date: Until Filled Application Methods: Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) By Mail Drop-off Within the Investment Office, the Investment Control & Operational Risk (ICOR) team--is a business-critical function reporting directly into the Deputy Chief Investment Officer. The function has the accountability for actively managing investment compliance and controls, operational risk, and operational due diligence in addition to driving the INVO philosophy and approach around ethics, transparency, and culture. CalPERS is searching for an Investment Director to lead the ICOR teams and join the leadership group of the INVO.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Lead, develop, evolve and implement a best-in-class, robust, practical investment compliance, controls and operational risk platform
• Lead, manage, mentor and harmonise team-based culture within ICOR teams
• Partner, collaborate and build close, effective working relationships (across the enterprise) ensuring objectives of both enterprise and the investment office are strategically aligned and effectively implemented
• Proactively identify and monitor how external factors will affect all aspects of the business and implement robust, customized solutions to address and offset such factors.
• Identify, socialize, and provide constructive challenge to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency across the INVO
• Lead by example and work collaboratively with CalPERS Management and INVO in developing organization ethics, transparency, ethos and cultural You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement .
