Job Description Job Description Job Title: Machinist Salary: Up to $22.00/hr (depending on experience) Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with possible weekends Employment Type: Temp-to-hire Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both manual and CNC machinery, with a focus on precision and quality. A background with at least 5 years of experience in machining is preferred. Familiarity with a horizontal boring mill is a plus, but not required. Key Responsibilities: - Set up, operate, and troubleshoot both manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations and dimensions. - Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet exact tolerances and specifications. - Operate machines such as horizontal boring mills, lathes, mills, and grinders. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety standards. - Ensure production timelines are met, including on-time completion of parts and assemblies. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines. - Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools as needed. Qualifications: - 5 years of machinist experience (manual and CNC). - Experience with horizontal boring mills is a plus. - Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints. - Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tool usage. - Must be reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines. - Team-oriented, with strong communication skills. - Must have your own tools (preferred but not required). Work Schedule: - Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday (with possible weekend shifts as needed).
