Job Description:
McLane Company, a leader in the nationwide supply chain services
with a robust focus on grocery and foodservice solutions, is
seeking a dedicated McLane Travel Driver. This position requires
driving across various distribution centers throughout the United
States to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods. The role is
designed for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and
are committed to the highest standards of logistics efficiency.
Ensure safe and timely delivery of goods to various McLane
distribution centers across the country. Maintain compliance with
federal and state driving regulations. Manage logs and records of
deliveries in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations.
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform
preventative maintenance. Plan routes efficiently and adjust plans
as needed due to traffic, weather conditions, or other factors.
Provide excellent customer service as the face of McLane during
deliveries. Strong driving skills and familiarity with long-haul
transportation. Excellent time management to fulfill tight
schedules. Ability to handle physical workload required for freight
handling and vehicle maintenance. Effective communication skills
for interacting with dispatchers, logistics staff, and customers.
Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to unforeseen
