Job Description:
Description: Looking for a professional, responsible, CNC
programmer/Estimator. You will be programming using Fusion 360 for
mills and lathes on Haas and Fanuc controls. This role will also
work with the Customers & Sales team to review and provide
machining information for quotes based on customer's requirements.
This position requires a candidate who will specialize in
programing and estimating of high value precision metallic and
non-metallic components (low-volume / high-mix). Someone with a
strong and working knowledge of material removal/machining
fundamentals as well as computer numerical control (CNC)
programming experience. Duties and Responsibilities: --- Programing
--- Produce high quality programs, set up sheet, and tools lists
for set up personnel on the shop floor that need little to no
corrections to make conforming parts. --- Programs 3-5 axis mill
work and lathe work with live tooling. --- Establishes programs and
modifies existing ones for increased efficiency and productivity.
--- Maintains and preserves CAD/CAM libraries. --- Creates job
travelers set up sheets or in process inspection documents for
machining work. --- Maintains and utilizes CAD/CAM software ---
Supports prove out process with Machinist and inspection to meet
conformance. --- Assists with machine setup tooling management with
shop manager --- Quoting / Estimating --- Provides quick turn on
machining cycle times for bid/RFQ requests. --- Follow internal
company guidelines for quoting / estimating. --- Interfaces with
other department managers for multi process quotes. --- May
interface with customers directly, via phone, or email to gather
specifics for a quoting effort. Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: --- Bachelor of Science Degree or 5+ years of
relevant technical work experience --- Minimum 2+ years' experience
programming with FUSION 360 --- Must be proficient programming
complex parts for lath and mill, including, o Live tooling on lathe
o 5-axis mills o Use of Renishaw probing cycles in CNC program ---
2+ years' experience using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
(GD&T) --- Must be familiar with machining many different types
of materials including aluminum, plastics, steels, titanium, as
well as other exotic alloys. --- Familiarity of various pre and
post operations and there affects to the machined parts o Plating:
Anodizing, Chem film coating. o Heat treating o Grinding. ---
Experience designing and building fixtures when needed. --- Ability
to be a stickler for detail, while working quickly to address
customer issues. --- Excellent organizational capability, being
able to follow up with customers. --- General knowledge of either
ISO9001 or AS9100 preferred. --- Must possess a team player
attitude, while also being an excellent individual contributor. ---
Must have good math skills. --- Must have excellent skills in time
management and planning/organization. --- Must have excellent
written and verbal communication skills. --- Ability to work in
compliance with all safety guidelines and directives. Preferred
Qualifications: --- BS in MFG / Industrial / Mechanical
Engineering. --- Experience/proficiency working with materials
requirements planning (MRP), manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Shopkeeper software is a plus. --- 2+ years quoting or estimating
jobs or projects. --- Understand of various government contract
requirements --- DFARS, NADCAP, ITARS etc --- Familiarity with
various government and industry specifications. --- Mil-STD, SAE,
