Summer Program Assistant - Mayor's Youth Employment and
Education Program (MYEEP)About SEADCSoutheast Asian Development

self-sufficient Southeast Asian American community.Founded in 1977
in San Francisco's Tenderloin District, the Southeast Asian
Development Center, formerly Vietnamese Youth Development Center
(VYDC), is a nonprofit organization dedicated to lifting children,
youth, and families from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam out of
poverty. Our services are structured around providing low income
and vulnerable Southeast Asian Americans with basic needs and
skills critical to building successful futures. We provide jobs,
academic support, language service, health, and wellness, promote
cultural resiliency and social guidance.The MYEEP-SEADC Summer
Program Assistant, with guidance from the Mayor's Youth Employment
and Education Program (MYEEP) Coordinator and Associate Director,
will support the application, enrollment and orientation process
for the 2025 Summer cycle, lead a series of pre-employment and
job/life skills workshops, develop worksites for youth placement
and communicate directly with worksite Supervisor, offer individual
support for program participants, and provide overall
administrative and programmatic support.The ideal candidate is a

This position is slated to end on June 30, 2025.About Youth
DevelopmentThe Youth Development program objective is to prepare
youth in grades kindergarten through high school to be college and
work ready. Youth Development Program activities include daily out
of school time program activities for K-12 graders focusing on
tutoring, homework support, life skills and enriching
social/cultural activities, teen leadership development activities,
career exploration and job placements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIESDirect Client Service (60%)
- Co-facilitate pre-employment training and workshops related to
job readiness, career exploration, and other relevant topics;
including support with planning, prep, and setting up
- Maintain strong communication with staff, parents, youth, and
worksite supervisors
- Provide compassionate and friendly customer service
- Assist participants in problem-solving and goal setting
- Attend in-person meetings and in-person workshops
- Participate in events, meetings, and trainings as
neededAdministrative Support (40%)
- Maintain accurate files for all youth
- Support onboarding process of program participants
- Provide direct administrative support for program
implementation
- Other duties as assigned by Program Coordinator and MYEEP

RequirementsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)requiredRequired Skills
and Experience
- Experience working with diverse, urban populations within a
youth development field
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate youth
groups
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Zoom, Microsoft Office, Google Classroom, and
G-Suite
- Familiarity with project management platforms and online
communications platforms such as Teams
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in English.Desired Skills

StatesPhysical Requirements
- Possesses multi-limb and eye-hand coordination.
- Able to stand, bend, reach, stoop and lift items up to 25
lbs.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods
of time.
- Able to sit or stand at a desk, work on a computer, and
participate in meetings live or via work device for a full
workday
- Capable of participating in program activities and events that
