JOB TITLE:--IT Corporate RecruiterDEPARTMENT: HR - RecruitingSTATUS:--ExemptJOB CODE:--1722 GENERAL DESCRIPTION:This position is responsible for hiring of IT and Back Office positions to ensure the highest quality and equality of staffing for The Golden 1 Credit Union.--Keep abreast of recruiting trends and employment laws and ensure recruiting practices comply with EEO, FCRA, and ADA guidelines. TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:- Coach and consult with managers regarding setting up skill screen testing, selection/interviewing process, reference checking; final offer to be made by Recruiter.- Consult and furnish management with information pertinent to the proper placement of quality employees in the branches and back office.- Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.- Perform background checks/Consumer Reports/Drug screening on employment candidates via on-line investigating service.- Review resumes/applications for open positions. Screen, interview, and or tests applicants and share results of process with back office managers. Prepare reports, as required. Inform applicants with passing scores and schedule further interviews.- Coordinate Job Opportunity Postings on Intranet with Branch/ Back Office Managers and set deadline. Review list with manager and coach in regards to viewing employee files, interviews, Thank you/No Thank You Letters, grade ranges, salary offers, full-time versus part-time status job changes, etc.- Place employment advertisements with news media and on websites as needed.- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation on a rotation basis with Employment Officer. Coordinate new hire employee personnel files and complete required forms.- Preview Transfer Interest file for Branch openings.- Assist maintain proper files of applications for retention time of two years and purge annually.- Complete new hire packet with welcome letter and forms. Complete personnel file with P-17 form.- Participate in training new Recruiters and assist the Recruiter Assistance, as needed.- Perform other tasks, as needed.PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:- Effective oral and written communication skills required to talk to applicants, managers, and outside contacts, on the telephone and in person, to conduct interviews and orientation, prepare correspondence, and constructively follow up on inquiries relating to this area.- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine and telephone.ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:- INTERNAL:--All levels of staff and management.- EXTERNAL: Temporary agencies, applicants, news media, applicant's former employers, and technical training school instructors.QUALIFICATIONS:- EDUCATION:--Bachelor's degree preferred.- EXPERIENCE:--5 years or more in recruiting, preferably IT and or Agency experience. - KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Strong oral and written communication skills, interviewing and human relations skills. Good knowledge of Golden 1 pay and benefits. Good knowledge of recruiting techniques and employment policies and procedures, including all EEO, FCRA, and ADA regulations. Excellent planning, time management, presentation, organization and interpersonal skills. Ten key, typewriter, and personal computer skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.- Corrected vision within the normal range.- Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.- High telephone volume. Corrected hearing in the normal range required. A telephone device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.- Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.- Minimal travel locally and statewide by car or public conveyance to recruit at other Golden 1 offices as needs arise. Overnight and evening schedules included.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: None
