Job Description:
As the Executive Housekeeper, you will lead the staff and
operations of the housekeeping department and seek solutions and
results that create a high-performing, safety-conscious work
environment.
You will manage a team that's passionate about delivering a unique
and unpretentious experience to guests of The Blake, The Blake
Residence's, Penthouses, Private Property Residences as well as
Taos Ski Valley staff housing. The position oversees teams for the
cleaning of public areas around the base area of the ski resort,
including: the Resort Center, LakeFork, Staff locker rooms and
other base area public areas. You contribute to the team's
professionalism and performance and consciously engage with your
staff members, who efficiently accomplish a combination of cleanin
g duties to maintain a safe, clean and orderly property for guests
and staff. As the Executive Housekeeper, you will carry out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's
policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include
interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,
and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a First-- - Rate Guest and Owner Experience.
- Communicate with guests and staff in a professional, warm and
genuine manner.
- Conducts oneself with safety in mind and undertakes all job
requirements in a manner which will guarantee a safe environment
for oneself, guests, and fellow team members. Participates on the
safety committee or ensures that the department is adequately
represented on safety committee.
- Acts as host or hostess to in house guests by encouraging
comments, fulfilling guest's needs, and answering guest's
questions.
- Manages The Blake housekeeping department, including
scheduling, recruiting, and training. The Blake Housekeeping
department supports The Blake, The Blake Residences, Penthouses,
Private Property Residences as well as Taos Ski Valley staff
housing.
- Requires standing for long periods of time and being able to
reach approximately 48 inches in height.
- Will be responsible to clean guest rooms and jump in to help
support the staff, as needed.
- Drives and maintains a friendly, sincere and safety focused
service culture through consistent performance coaching and team
development.
- Maintains adequate levels of product including linens, cleaning
supplies, in-room products, etc. Maintains operating equipment in
good order and provides for sufficient replacements.
- Works closely with engineering staff to ensure the highest
level of EIWO (Everything in Working Order) in all guest room and
public spaces.
- Conducts pre-shift staff meetings, communicating pertinent
information including Company initiatives
- Develops and manages annual department budget.
- Reliable attendance on all scheduled work days.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested
including obeying safety policies and procedures and attending
safety trainings.

Qualifications/Knowledge:
- Must be highly detail-oriented

and written
- Must be willing to ask for help and/or clarification
- Must be able to adapt to change in policy and/or procedures as
directed and offer suggestions to improve operations.
- Possess a valid driver's license and ability to successfully
pass a MVR check. Need to drive guests/staff
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic typing skills and computer
knowledge
- Fluent in verbal and written English, other language skills
preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Prior Hospitality experience, required. Industry specific
experience, preferred.
- 2-years or more supervisory experience, required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends,
holidays and evenings.
Work Environment:
Must be able to be detail oriented and stay focused overnight. TSVI
is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may
require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be
exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions.
Physical Demands of Position Include:
Frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to
50-75 pounds. Frequently walking, reaching and bending. This
position will require individuals to be out in winter conditions
10-20% of the time.
