Reporting to the Director of Clinical Technology, Heath Informatics Strategist provides analytics in understanding and improving how health care is valued, utilized and provided. This position will develop analytic attributes that pertain to patient level health utilization/outcome, provider performance measures, risk-adjusted revenue optimization, medical cost management, and behavior attributes on patient/provider engagement S/he will integrate into one of our tiger teams partnering directly with our state-wide provider partners defining the future care delivery model. These teams will baseline operations, capturing key performance data, then implement new technologies, redesign process and change organizational structures to make the future a reality. The Health Informatics Strategist will also be responsible for partnering with our Networks team to support the baselining of new provider partners capabilities and performance, then analyze the data to help develop improvement road maps tied to our mutual objectives.

* Interview and assess clinical operations and health programs to identify sources of data

* Develops technical specs and executes a work plan for uncomplicated analyses.

* Participate in initial meetings with client or project lead to define the scope of the project. Provide insight and expertise on defining the data models, including knowledge of the capabilities and flexibility of different models. Take detailed notes on client calls, to ensure accurate information collected to determine project and data scope

* Evaluate the data model architecture. Ensure data model architecture captures the full scope of the project, adheres to actuarial best practices and is flexible enough to make future adjustments.

* Identify data anomalies and exceptions as observed in project deliverables (reports, analysis). Understand the reasons and impacts of data anomalies and exceptions on the analysis to explain these issues to senior staff or project lead. Think through data issues and formulate possible solutions. Communicate data anomalies with project and client team and provide insight, expertise and direction on address issues regarding the data anomalies.

* Project manage multiple tasks on different projects simultaneously to include the following: organize project work flow and delegate project tasks to junior staff, manage the quality and timeliness of project deliverables, ensure client deliverables are client ready

* Work directly with providers to clarify project scope and be resource for provider to answer performance / data related questions

* Prepares documents, correspondence and other communication materials to convey information to appropriate audiences internally and/or externally.

* Participates in the process to design and implementation of reports/analytics, able to follow business requirement and technical specification to bring the product to fruition.

* Assists in identifying systems and operational problems and recommends solutions and changes to streamline procedures for more effective reporting.

* Responsible for adjusting or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of clinical operations or health programs
