Physician / Psychiatry / Sacramento, CA


Adult Psychiatrist needed in Sacramento, California.

We are seeking a Psychiatrist who is energetic and thrives on the opportunity of expanding our existing Psychiatric services in Sacramento, CA.

Leadership experience/interest is a plus for possible growth to a Medical Director.


Adult Inpatient/Outpatient opportunity:

Initially 100% inpt. (1/2 day clinic once a week)
80% Inpt, 20% Outpt. (as practice builds Outpt. panel)


Primarily care of Adult Inpt. Behavioral Health Unit (24 bed lock down unit)

Also Adult Med/Surg. Consults


CALL (both pts. & unassigned pts):

Weekdays: In-House Call Required, 1:3
Weeknights: Wear pager (typically just phone calls), 1:3
Weekends (after they see pts. on those days, they can be offsite w/pager); 1:4

Inpt. Volume:

Total beds/capacity is 24; normally 22-24/day
Psychiatrists share above load.
Consults: 0-3/day; ED Consults: very few, only when need admission to BHU


Reason looking: further developing Psychiatry service line & succession planning.


EMR Cerner (Inpt.), All Scripts (Outpt.)

Only 1 hospital location
Opportunity to practice with supportive community psychiatrists
