Job Title: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours (09:30 - 18:00) Experience: 3-5 Years Recent Relevant Experience License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with recovery on deep organ and angio cases highly preferred (PACU experience) - Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab experience preferred - Varied call nights/weekends and rotating weekends Description: The role involves working as an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse. Travelers will be responsible for patient care in a recovery room following deep organ biopsies and angio cases. The nurse will operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment. Routine and priority tasks must be completed within established departmental time frames. Assistance will be provided to physicians during various diagnostic and invasive procedures. There will be a requirement to explain procedures, medications, and contrast media to patients clearly and professionally to alleviate fear and anxiety. Experience charting with Epic is preferred.
