This role focuses on assessing students' physical and psychological needs, crafting personalized care plans, and utilizing therapeutic techniques to enhance their daily living and educational experiences. This pivotal position not only supports students' health but also empowers educational staff with strategies and tools to integrate effective therapies into their teaching processes. Evaluate students’ skills and needs related to motor, cognitive, and emotional development Develop individualized intervention plans to improve students' ability to perform daily activities and reach their educational goals Implement therapeutic processes designed to enhance students' performance in their educational environment Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to incorporate occupational therapy within the educational framework Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and adjust intervention plans as necessary Advocate for the need and effectiveness of occupational therapy within the school settings Strong understanding of various therapeutic interventions and diagnostics tools Ability to design and execute detailed therapeutic programs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents Adaptability to different educational settings and individual student needs Proficiency in using technology for therapy and administration purposes Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist NBCOT Certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) preferred
