Sacramento, CA Schedule: Full-Time | Sunday–Thursday | 11:00 AM –
7:00 PM (shift flexibility as needed) FLSA Status: Exempt Salary:
$122,300 - $140,00 DOE Position Summary The Clinical Supervisor –
RN provides clinical leadership and operational oversight within a
high-acuity Recuperative Care (Medical Respite) setting. This role
supports and supervises nursing and support staff, ensuring safe,
compliant, and client-centered care for individuals experiencing
homelessness and complex medical, behavioral health, and substance
use conditions. The Supervisor oversees nursing operations,
medication management workflows, staff development, quality
improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance while fostering
a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative culture. Key
Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and
mentorship to RNs, LVNs, and support staff Oversee all medication
management processes, including patient self-administration
protocols Ensure compliance with clinical policies, Joint
Commission standards, and regulatory requirements Perform RN
clinical duties including assessments, vitals, venipuncture,
immunizations, and treatments Train new hires and existing staff on
nursing duties, workflows, and best practices Monitor, audit, and
improve medication management and documentation within the EHR
(Epic preferred) Collaborate with risk management on incident
review, root cause analysis, and prevention strategies Participate
in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring nursing and support staff
Lead staff meetings, case conferences, and in-service trainings
Develop and update Recuperative Care policies and procedures
Support quality improvement initiatives and data accuracy
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent clinical
matters as needed Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary
team serving high-acuity clients Required Qualifications Current
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California Graduate
of an accredited school of nursing Current BLS certification (or
ability to obtain within 90 days) Minimum 4 years of clinical
nursing experience with adult populations (leadership experience
preferred) 2 years Management Experience - leading a team of LVN's
and support staff Experience supervising or mentoring nursing and
support staff Strong physical assessment and clinical
decision-making skills Experience working with underserved
populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness
Knowledge of medication administration, interactions, and effects
(including while intoxicated) Ability to work in high-stress,
fast-paced environments Excellent communication, organization, and
critical thinking skills Computer proficiency, including EHRs (Epic
preferred), Microsoft Word, and Excel Willingness to work holidays,
weekends, alternate shifts, and participate in on-call rotation
Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) a plus Benefits & Perks
