Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Shift Coverage:
Variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as
needed Role Overview The Radiology Assistant (RA) is a critical
frontline support role responsible for maintaining uninterrupted
radiologist workflows and ensuring timely, high-quality patient
care. Acting as the first point of contact for operational and
workflow-related issues, the RA supports radiologists in real time,
resolves common workflow disruptions, and coordinates escalations
with IT, PACS, and vendor support teams when needed. This role is
operational and workflow-focused, not a system build, PACS
administration, or engineering position. Key Responsibilities
Radiologist & Clinical Workflow Support \t•\tServe as the primary
operational contact for radiologists during assigned coverage hours
\t•\tRespond promptly to real-time requests related to: \t•\tStudy
access and availability \t•\tWorklist issues \t•\tPrior exam
retrieval \t•\tHanging protocol or viewer display concerns
\t•\tWorkflow interruptions impacting reading efficiency
\t•\tProvide calm, efficient support in high-acuity and
time-sensitive clinical situations \t•\tSupport call-center style
workflows, including call handling, prioritization, and tracking
Study & Worklist Management \t•\tAssist with study routing,
reassignment, and verification of correct destinations \t•\tConfirm
study completeness, image availability, and report visibility
\t•\tMonitor radiologist worklists for stuck, duplicated, delayed,
or misrouted exams \t•\tIdentify workflow issues before they
escalate to clinical delays Basic Technical Troubleshooting (Level
1) \t•\tPerform initial triage of PACS, RIS, dictation, reporting,
and viewer-related issues \t•\tValidate user access, missing
images, performance concerns, and dictation problems
\t•\tDistinguish operational issues from system-level problems
requiring escalation Escalation & Issue Coordination \t•\tEscalate
unresolved issues to PACS administrators, IT teams, or vendors with
complete and accurate documentation \t•\tRemain engaged through
resolution, ensuring follow-through and communication back to the
radiologist \t•\tAct as a liaison between clinical users and
technical support teams Communication & Documentation \t•\tDocument
all interactions, actions taken, and outcomes in the designated
ticketing system \t•\tProvide proactive status updates to
radiologists and stakeholders \t•\tMaintain clear, professional

configuration, build, or administrative changes \t•\tClinical

The Radiology Assistant plays a vital role in protecting reading
efficiency, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring that technical and

clinicians can stay focused on patients. This is a full-time,
on-site role for a Radiology Assistant located in Indianapolis, IN.
The Radiology Assistant will support radiology operations, assist
in medical imaging procedures, ensure compliance with imaging
protocols, and provide excellent customer service to patients and
staff. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records,
communicating with patients and healthcare professionals, providing
timely assistance with equipment and imaging tasks, and adhering to
safety standards in a clinical environment. Qualifications Strong
Communication and Phone Etiquette skills for interacting
professionally with patients and healthcare staff Knowledge and
experience in Radiology and Medical Imaging practices Proven
ability to deliver high-quality Customer Service in a fast-paced
clinical setting Basic understanding of safety standards related to
radiology and imaging equipment Strong organizational skills and
attention to detail Experience in a healthcare or clinical
environment is preferred Completion of a radiology assistant
program or relevant healthcare certification is a plus
