Job Description:
Job Description Summary: The Center Medical Director is
responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of up to two
occupational medicine centers, ensuring the delivery of
high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational
efficiency. This role combines hands-on patient care while
mentoring and leading physician assistants and nurse practitioners,
as well as fostering continuous improvement in clinical services
and outcomes across multiple locations. Work Schedule: Monday
through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM Salary: Starting compensation range
$250,000.00 - $300.000 annually. Exact compensation may vary based
on skills, experience, and location. Key Responsibilities: -
Deliver medical evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries
and illnesses, documenting care according to organizational
policies. - Conduct pre-employment examinations, fitness-for-duty
assessments, and other occupational health evaluations requiring
physician-level expertise. - Perform minor procedures, including
suturing, splinting, and laceration repair, as needed for patient
care. - Conduct independent medical examinations (IMEs), disability
evaluations, and return-to-work assessments. - Collaborate with
therapists, specialists, and clinical staff to optimize patient
outcomes and streamline case management. - Provide leadership and
supervision of clinical and support staff across both centers,
ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards. -
Coordinate with operations to address clinical challenges,
implement process improvements, and maintain high-quality care
across multiple sites. - Ensure all clinical staff adhere to
organizational policies, OSHA standards, DOT regulations, and
workers’ compensation requirements. - Maintain and monitor quality
assurance processes, addressing and resolving clinical issues
promptly. - Serve as the point of contact between medical staff and
management, fostering communication and alignment across centers. -
Support client relations, including engagement with new and
existing clients, and assist with resolving medical-related
concerns. - Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
and organizational standards for handling protected health
information. - Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at
improving clinical operations, patient safety, and overall business
growth for both centers. - Perform other duties as needed to
support the success of multi-center operations. Qualifications:
Education & Certification: - M.D. or D.O. from an accredited U.S.
institution or equivalent state-licensed program. - Foreign medical
graduates must possess ECFMG certification, complete U.S.
residency, and pass all required licensing exams. - Active and
unrestricted medical license in the state(s) of practice. - DEA
controlled substances registration and current radiology
supervisor/operator certification. - BLS/AED certification. - NRCME
certification for performing DOT examinations. - Board
certification in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, or
Internal Medicine preferred. Experience: - Experience working in an
occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency settings
preferred; new grads welcome to apply! Skills & Competencies: -
Strong knowledge of occupational medicine practices, safety
regulations, and workers’ compensation systems. - Proficiency with
electronic medical records and medical documentation. - Ability to
develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance standards. -
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage
patients, staff, and clients effectively. - Capacity to manage
multiple priorities, balancing direct patient care with
administrative oversight. - Strong problem-solving skills with the
ability to make objective decisions under pressure. - Commitment to
