This role is pivotal within our departments, collaborating closely
with the practice manager. The position employs the nursing process
to deliver patient care under the guidance of a licensed physician
or nurse practitioner. Responsibilities include refilling
medications and assisting with treatments, while ensuring
professional accountability during clinic visits and patient
communications. Additionally, the role involves coordinating
patient care, testing, and procedures alongside other departments,
while upholding patient rights and maintaining confidentiality.
Position Overview: Minimum Qualifications: Education: High school
diploma or equivalent GED. Licensure: Completion of an accredited
practical nursing program is required. Equivalent educational
experience and successful licensure may also be considered. The
candidate must obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the
state where nursing duties are performed, adhering to all State
Board of Nursing regulations. Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Depending on the specific position or unit, one or
more of the following certifications may be necessary, or must be
acquired within a designated timeframe: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life
Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) PEARS (Pediatric
Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar,
Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional
Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules BLS (Basic Life Support)
certification through the American Heart Association, or completion
of the course within 30 days of hire IV Certification within one
year of hire Other unit-specific certifications as required.
Physical Requirements: The role necessitates the ability to
regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs. Prolonged standing and
walking are required throughout each shift. Tasks may involve
gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting. Why
