Position Summary The Cardiac Step-Down Unit (CSDU) is a 6-bed unit. Nurse to patient ratio is 3:1. The CSDU provides an intermediate level of care with a focus on the cardiothoracic patient population. CSDU provides patient-centered care to all cardiac patients from adolescence (age 16) to adults of all ages. The staff in the CSDU are very engaged in a Shared Governance model of leadership. Qualifications Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Experience
  • Experience in an acute cardiac care or critical care environment required Licensure/Certifications
    • RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
    • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
    • ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required upon start Preferred Certifications
      • PCCN: Progressive Care Certified Nurse
      • CMSRN: Certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
      • HNC: Holistic Nursing Certified
