Psychiatrist Opening in Sacramento, CA California's state
capital - 1.5 million person population90 miles from San Francisco,
CAH1B Sponsorship Available Position Details: - Multiple Positions
available throughout Sacramento- Full-time, permanent positions-
FQHC health system- Provide individual medical psychiatric services
for a diverse and underserved patient population. Patients will be
expected to require a moderate level of care. The psychiatrist will
operate under an integrated behavioral health model and provide
support to the primary care providers as well as Behavioral Health
staff. The psychiatrist may be asked to supervise the clinical
aspects of practice with designated collaborating mid-level
providers, nurses, and/or clinic assistants. Additionally, the
psychiatrist will provide guidance to the psychiatric services

candidate will be willing and able to: Direct Patient Care
Activities: - Provides direct psychiatric patient care within the
clinic to patients requiring a moderate level of services- Assists
in referring, coordinating, and bridging patients to a higher level
of care when needed- Follows standards of care for specialty and
current guidelines for assessment and treatment- Maintains patient
records as required to provide high quality and continuous care and
as required by state and federal regulations- Enters and completes
chart documentation of encounters into the Electronic Health
Record- Responds to patient concerns and communications in a timely
manner- Maintains billing information required to secure
reimbursements for provision of services- Demonstrates ability to
work independently on a daily basis - Adheres to applicable state
and federal guidelines regarding patient care - Maintains strict
confidentiality of patient, company and personnel information-
Maintains a high degree of ethics, integrity and professionalism
Administrative/Management Functions: - Offers guidance and
recommendations for improving the quality, operations, efficiency,
integration, and patient-centeredness of psychiatric services-
Provides clinical supervision to no more than four psychiatric NPs
or PAs at a time, including availability for clinical questions,
regular feedback via one-on-one meetings, and periodic chart
review- Facilitates clinical training of clinical support staff as
directed by CMO- Ensures integration of psychiatric services into
corporations overall comprehensive services- Participates in case
discussions and provides feedback and curbside consults as
requested by primary care and Behavioral Health clinicians and
staff- Participates in Peer Education/In-service programs-
Participates in Provider Huddles necessary to coordinate patient
care- Participates in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement
activities as requested- Creates relationships with relevant
community Psychiatric, Behavioral Health, and Social organizations
to improve coordination and transfer of care, psychiatric
population health, and community-wide initiatives- Performs other
duties as assigned by CMO The successful candidate has: - Doctor of
Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree- Completion of residency at
an accredited ACGME psychiatry program- Board Certified or Board
Eligible with plan to work toward Board Certification- Current or
ability to obtain licensure as an independent clinical provider in
the state of California- Current BLS Certification- Certification
in other Life Support courses as required for privileges granted in
hospital and/or clinic settings.- Proficiency with computers,
ability to learn office Electronic Medical Records software and
related tools.- Excellent communication skills and ability to work
with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences-
Sensitivity and empathy for a diverse and underserved patient
population Additional Requirements: - Must have a current and valid
California drivers license and the ability to provide proof of
personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working
