This includes gathering patient information, coding prescriptions, and submitting claims to insurance companies. The Pharmacy Biller also works with patients to resolve billing issues and ensure that they receive the medications they need.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit insurance claims for prescription medications.
• Gather patient information, including insurance information, medical history, and prescription details.
• Code prescriptions according to coding guidelines.
• Submit claims to insurance companies through electronic or paper claims systems.
• Follow up on denied or rejected claims to resolve issues.
• Work with patients to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions.
• Stay up-to-date on changes to insurance regulations and coding guidelines.Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in pharmacy billing or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
