JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Health & Quality of Life Director is charged with serving as
the inaugural center manager for allcove Sacramento. The allcove
center will act as a front door for youth between the ages of 12
and 25 and their families, to access integrated behavioral health
and physical health services with a focus on vulnerable,
marginalized, underserved, and disproportionately served
populations. GSUL seeks to address social determinants of health,
improve the quality of life for Sacramento's marginalized
communities, and reduce inequalities in healthcare by enhancing
comprehension, training, deterrence coordination, and support
access within minority communities. In addition to supporting the
allcove center, this position will also work toward advancing
health equity by coordinating grant and reporting activities
focused on COVID-19, mental health, and other social determinants
of health.
CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
75% allcove Sacramento
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the allcove Sacramento
center.
- Lead, develop, oversee, and evaluate the implementation of
mental health service delivery to young people and their families
and friends.
- Develop the allcove center strategic plan, business plan, and
annual work plan in conjunction with the lead agency senior
management, consortium partners, and the commission, ensuring
deliverables and key performance indicators are achieved.
- Obtain, apply for, administer, and monitor grants, budgets, and
expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary allocations and
meeting regulatory reporting requirements
- Assess and evaluate the quality of service delivery and the
outcomes of programs and submit reporting

- Develop and implement outreach activities to inform our
community about health disparities and culturally relevant
approaches to optimal health
- Seek out, apply for, administer, and monitor grants, budgets,
and expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary allocations and
meeting regulatory reporting for compliance
- Develop strategies for evaluating program outcomes
- Develop and implement strategies to promote health education,
disease prevention, and lifestyle improvement
- Lead the development of campaigns to educate the public about
health topics

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree in public health, healthcare-related field, or
life sciences
- Demonstrated expertise in public health, population health, and
health equity
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience with grant
writing/resource development
- Collaboration and program development
- Experience in primary care settings is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Experience in healthcare data analysis and outcomes measurement
is desired.
- Knowledgeable about core health equity concepts- social
determinants of health, solutions to address health disparities,
etc.
- Exceptional communication skills, including comfort with
technical communication with healthcare/medical leadership, public
health, and government leadership, and translation of technical
communications to lay audience
