Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Mercy General Hospital was established over 100 years ago as
Sacramento's first hospital, and has been providing surgical
services for over 45 years. The Perioperative program is one of the
largest in Northern California with a pioneering spirit among an
experienced and dedicated team of professionals.
The Surgical Services at Mercy General Hospital demands a very high
level of technical skills, team work and organization. The
perioperative program is high volume in open and hybrid procedures.
We have a large population of orthopedic and spine patient
population are an accredited orthopedic and spine Center of
Excellence. Nurses in our perioperative setting are able to work
with the latest technology in surgical advances including robotic
assisted procedure. In 2021 Mercy General was awarded the Robotic
Center of Excellence. The RNs function with a high degree of
autonomy and deliver exceptional standards of care, producing some
of the best clinical outcomes in the state. Mercy General made the
35 top hospitals for cardiac surgery and ranked 3 rd in the state
of California, HealthGrades (2022).
Many registered nurses and OR Techs are attracted to our ORs for
cutting edge procedures with a high level of procedural experience
required by many advanced practice programs. At Mercy General
Hospital, you will develop the skill set to manage very acute and
complex surgical patients.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of one (1) year of Operating Room experience.
Other certifications may be required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American
Heart Association (AHA)
