service.\n\nResponsibilities\nThe Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
is responsible for knowing his/her professional scope of
orientation period that includes demonstrating skills and behaviors
that meet a fully competent level of performance. The LVN maintains
a clean organized and safe environment and performs patient care
services that support the physician / providers practice under the
clinical supervision of the Physician Registered Nurse Nurse
Practitioner Physicians Assistant or other licensed staff.\n \nCore
Duties:\n\n* Assisting in prepping patients for examinations or
procedures assisting with procedures relaying instructions from the
physician to a patient or authorized person and collecting patient
data\n* Documenting patient concerns patient messages and care
provided to the patient in the patients medical record for the
physicians review\n* Administrating medications specifically
directed by the physician and performing accurate vital sign
measurements and documentation\n* Providing leadership to support
staff \n\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n* High school
diploma required (or equivalent)\n* Satisfactory completion of a
formal Licensed Vocational Nurse program pursuant to the Division
of Allied Health Professions or military training that is
equivalent to an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program
(Determination made by DHMF H.R. department in conjunction with the
State Division) of Allied Health Professions required\n* Current CA
LVN license\n* Three (3) years of experience in an outpatient
setting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse required\n* Will consider
candidate with less than required experience, if staffing
permits\n* Excellent interpersonal organizational and customer
service skills required\n* Medical terminology familiarity with CPT
and ICD-10 coding procedures and reference tools and pharmacology
appropriate to the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice
required\n* Current BLS certification required (must be certified
through the American Heart Association)\nPreferred
Qualifications:\n\n* Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in
an outpatient setting preferred\n* Familiarity with an electronic
practice management system preferred\n***This position is
represented by SEIU-UHW\n***The ideal candidate will be available
to work Saturdays to cover Saturday clinics\n\nPay Range\n$30.78 -
$34.71 /hour
