Exciting opportunity for Ophthalmologist to join premier group in SacramentoCurrently 4 full time and two part time physicians based among 4 locations.Call is every third week Monday-Thursday covering this group only and the urgent care. Rare to get calls when on call. Probably 2 weekends or possibly 3 a year, covering for approximately 20 other ophthalmologists in the Sacramento area.There is no ER call. On the weekends expect to see 1-4 patients. Rare to get called at night.Types of cases--a wide variety of pathology covering all areas, neuro-oph, pediatric, glaucoma, diabetes, cataracts, etc.Types of surgery are most common-cataracts, pterygium, MIGS, lasers for iridotomies, capsulotomies, and SLT. Also depending on candidates experience. Opportunity to learn and do laser assisted cataract surgery25-35 patients a day in clinic-25-35One full day in surgery, expect 300 cataracts a yearNo procedure room at the clinic-Currently three exam rooms, will be seeking approval for 2 more in order to have full time OD working at the clinic the same hours as MD.Competitive guarantee base pay for two years with a RVU incentive bonus, Sign on and relocation.
