Job Description:
Koinonia Family Services is seeking a licensed clinical social
worker (LCSW) or licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) for
a full-time clinician position in its Family Restoration Program,
which serves youth who were or are about to be adopted through the
foster care system, and their families, in Placer County. A
licensed LCSW or LMFT is preferred, but we would consider a
registered associate intern (ACSW or AMFT) with the right
qualifications and experience in the area of trauma, foster care
and adoption. Training in EMDR and TBRI preferred. Experience in
foster care, adoption and early childhood trauma is preferred.
Experience working with the Medi-Cal system is preferred.The
successful candidate will have:--- Experience in working with
children who have complex trauma and/or multiaxial diagnoses.--- A
good working knowledge of the DSM 5 diagnosis manual of mental
disorders.--- Team well with others and be highly motivated for
ongoing professional development.--- Qualities of the successful
candidate include compassion for children, strong professional
competency, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to
communicate well both verbally and in written form.The starting pay
for the position is $65,000-$75,000, depending upon overall
qualifications and experience. The group health package is worth up
to another $35,000 (tax-free)-for a very generous total

requirements.ExperiencePreferredPrevious experience developing
appropriate treatment plans for youth with serious mental illness
and their families.Thorough knowledge of and experience using
evidence-based interventions for the treatment of youth with
serious mental illness and their families (i.e. individual and
group approaches based in EMDR, CBT, DBT, and/or ACT as well as
family-oriented treatments such as Multifamily group and Functional
Family Therapy) preferred.Thorough knowledge and experience with
psychodiagnostic interviewing to determine diagnosis according to
DSM-V, and experience with standardized clinical rating measures
for assessment of serious mental illness for
youth.EducationRequiredMasters or better in Social Work or related
