*Position Summary:*

Our Oncology Unit offers a warm, caring and supportive environment
for our Oncology and medical patients. - Our nurses, along with a
multidisciplinary team, help patients make difficult choices more
manageable, by ensuring that their choice of treatment comes from
honest, informed consent. - Through their role as a patient
advocate, our nurses build a special bond with patients from the
beginning of a new diagnosis and through the process of treatment.
- This rapport ensures that our patients develop successful coping
mechanisms, knowledge of appropriate symptom management, and long
term adjustment for the best quality of life and outcome.

*Qualifications*
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* Graduate of an - accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of
an Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in
Nursing (BSN) preferred -
* 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience
* Active License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State in which
s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the
state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state -
* BLS certification - American Heart Association
* Additional certifications may be required based on population(s)
served and services provided
* Ability to:
* Deliver excellence in patient care through assessing, formulating
nursing diagnoses and establishing goals, planning and implementing
intervention, and evaluating patient care outcomes.
* Read, analyze, and interpret hospital policies and procedures,
professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations. -
* Write reports and procedures, and document in the medical
record.
* Effectively present information and respond to questions from
co-workers, managers, patients, physicians, family members and the
general public.
* Calculate figures and amounts such as weights, dosages, flow
rates, proportions, percentages and volume. -
* Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and
proportions to practical situations.
* Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions. -
* Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in
mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and
concrete variables.
* Critically think and problem solve. -
* Read, write and speak English.
* Must be able to complete entire program with a perfect attendance
record
* Must be able to work 3 days per week after completing first 12
weeks
* Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts
including holidays
* Must agree to terms and conditions of the program
