We're also certified by the Joint Commission as a Primary Care Medical Home and a Behavioral Health Home.Position SummaryThe Operational Compliance & Quality Coordinator- Behavioral Health is responsible for coordinating all aspects of WellSpace Health's quality initiatives in the Behavioral Health division. This position will act as an expert for WellSpace Health's operational quality measures and how they apply to the various Behavioral Health programs, and act as operational compliance monitor for the Behavioral Health division. This position will identify, write and publish policies that apply to various Behavioral Health programs. This position will create trainings, conduct training seminars, and evaluate competency of training participants. This position will monitor compliance in the Behavioral Health divisions through audits, checklists, patient tracers, and continuous quality improvement activities. This position will accomplish these tasks through close working relationships with, and in consultation with, the Behavioral Health managers and directors and Deputy Chiefs.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred;OR appropriate work experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job2 years work experience in behavioral health programs, healthcare field, or health plan quality management, data analytics, public health or other closely related field preferred;OR demonstrated work experience with quality assurance and improvement and compliance practices in another fieldExperience in project management, program evaluation, team facilitation, and data analysis preferredKnowledge of quality improvement techniques and evidenced based practices preferredCurrent CPHQ certification or ability to obtain within 2 years of hireKnowledge of The Joint Commission Ambulatory Care for Behavioral Health Care preferredExperience with NextGen or other Electronic Health Record system preferredExperience with Behavioral Healthcare services preferredKnowledge of various behavioral health terminology, and office practices and procedures, or ability to learn.Ability to asses and recommend actions to adhere to quality improvement and quality assurance requirements.Ability to work courteously and effectively as a team member to support Quality/efficiency standards established for the behavioral health department.Ability to work independently, exercise good judgement, spell correctly, perform clerical work in a methodical independent manner with speed and accuracy.Ability to provide information in verbal and written form professionally and free of errors.Ability to use computer information systems, computer literacy, and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets.Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.Must have valid driver's license and insurable driving record, and ability to travel across WellSpace Health service locations.Essential ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the CQO and in coordination with the Deputy Chief of Behavioral Health Operations and the various behavioral health directors and managers, oversees and monitors the development and implementation of the operational quality improvement program in the various behavioral health departments.Act as expert for organizational quality assurance and quality improvement requirements for the various behavioral health departments.Work with the CQO, COO, Deputy Chief of Behavioral Health Operations, CMO, and the various behavioral health directors and managers as designated to develop performance improvement targets for quality, service, and efficiency of the organization.Supports the accomplishment of organizational strategic quality plans that achieve high impact and significant improvements in organizational performance in the various behavioral health departments.Systematically applies the theory of project management to achieve results on time and within budget. Is results and outcomes oriented, with an emphasis on team work and collaboration.Provide leadership for implementing changes targeted at systems improvement. Measures and evaluates attainment of results. Monitors for continuous achievement and improvement.Assures that improvement activities are documented and reported within the organization and externally as appropriate.Support quality improvement activities within the organization focusing on behavioral health and other treatment programs and services.Understand clinical data measures required for Behavioral Health and FQHC programsWork regularly with all departments involved to streamline workflow processes for accurate and complete data collection and improve patient care/experiencePerform analysis on quality data, identify opportunities for improvement, and collaboratively develop and implement improvement plans with the stakeholders.Prepare and distribute behavioral health quality reporting metrics on monthly, quarterly, and annual basisPrepare presentation materials for QI/QA committee, board of directors, and departments meetings.Research and provide teams with best practice techniques and data from literature reviews, collaborative groups, and other benchmarking sources.Participate in committees and work groups as assigned, prepare agenda items, take minutes, coordinate meeting scheduling, and track follow up action items.Work with Risk Coordinator, Quality Management Team (QMT), and Compliance to obtain reported risk or safety issues.Generate, present, and select project ideas, and produce written narrative materialPromote a culture of safety; reporting hazards, errors, and potential patient safety issuesParticipate in periodic risk assessmentsAnalyze and provide reporting on compliance activities.Participate in periodic reviews of the ethics and compliance program to evaluate its effectiveness in promoting ethical and compliant conduct.Act as an advocate and champion of the compliance program among employees.Performs under minimal supervision with accountability for specific goals/objectives.Demonstrates problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills in order to ensure a productive work environment and achievement of goals.Conduct training sessions; create training documents; document and maintain records of training efforts.Identify the need for, write and publish as appropriate, policies that apply to the various Behavioral Health programs.
