Job Description:

Land IQ is seeking an Accountant/Office Manager in its Sacramento, California office to assist the Controller in our office administration needs.-- Land IQ is a science and technology consulting firm specialized in providing solutions to challenging environmental problems throughout the western United States. Our areas of expertise include water quality and demand evaluation, regulatory policy, ecosystem and agricultural science, remote sensing and geospatial analysis and ecosystem restoration. Land IQ helps clients develop high value, scientifically sound, proactive solutions to their complex, large scale, land-based challenges. The successful applicant will be responsible for working with our technical team comprised of a range of science, remote sensing, GIS and engineering disciplines. This candidate must have accounting experience and be skilled in reconciliations, expense reports and billing. Applicants must have strong organizational skills and the ability to be resourceful in seeking solutions as they present themselves in an office environment. The applicant must also have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.--This person must be adaptable to concurrent work demands, value integrity and enjoy collaboration and teamwork. Office Locations:----------------------------------Sacramento and Los Angeles, CAPosition Location:------------------------------Sacramento, CA Hiring Timeframe:----------------------------ImmediateEmployment Type:--------------------------Full time, including benefits Primary Responsibilities:----Assist Controller in all areas of accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and PayrollPrepare vendor invoices for approval and paymentEnter billable disbursements in the timekeeping systemPrepare bi-weekly spreadsheets for employee expense reimbursements through payrollW-9 record managementMonitor timely submission of timesheets by employeesPrepare and submit client invoicesMaintain and update invoice and budget tracking spreadsheetsMaintain and update client contractsSupport Executive TeamSupport planning of office eventsProvide front office coverage including phones, daily mail and FedExMaintain office supply inventoryAssist in maintaining files and scanning documents as neededAssist in onboarding and off-boarding employees Required Qualifications Education:-- B.S. or B.A. College degree (Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Preferred)Experience:--------------Minimum of 4 years total work experience including2-4 years of relevant accounting or business support experience 2+ years of customer service experienceUnderstanding and knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll Skills RequiredAccounts Payable - cash disbursementsAccounts Receivable - invoicing, collectionsOffice managementReasoning ability, accounting/mathematical ability, and logical thinking skillsUnderstanding of business finance and interaction with billing and projectsOrganizational skills with attention to detailProblem solving and research skillsProficient with the use of software including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software Excellent interpersonal and written communication skillsClient service-oriented attitude Professional SkillsPositive/enthusiastic attitude, passionate about professional pursuits, strong organizational, communication and writing skills, personable, ability and desire to learn, and attention to detail.--Enthusiastic about guiding and mentoring team members to reach team and organizational goals.--ContactVisit our website for more information at
