SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Talent Officer (CTO) will be a critical member of the senior management team and lead all activities related to the selection, development and engagement of talented, enthusiastic patient centric team members at KCD&O locations throughout Northern California and beyond. The successful candidate must be able to execute effectively on these 5 key initiatives: Work with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute a talent strategy that quickly yields quality candidates, with particular focus on doctor recruiting and company expansion Develop KCD&O’s employee value proposition and employer brand, and use that formula to differentiate KCD&O’s reputation as an employer of choice in the dental and orthodontic fields nationally. Drive employee programs that engage, develop, retain andprovide meaningful careers for high performing team members Manage and enhance HR programs and company infrastructure, including employee benefits, records, and internal communication. Build a high performing Talent team. Skills & Requirements Specific Responsibilities: Organizational Leadership - Build a highly accountable and high performing capability and become a true partner to the CEO and leadership team.Lead, mentor, measure and appraise their team to ensure clear expectations are communicated and stellar capabilities are in operation at all levels. Be a role model for the organization and help develop an organization where employees can thrive. Company Growth – Assess acquisition targets to determine cultural compatibility, risk factors, and level of skill/expertise of inherited staff.Determine appropriate integration strategies to ensure retention and engagement of critical acquisition talent. Talent Acquisition –Own the processes that attracts great talent to Company deploying creative, multi-channel candidate sourcing strategies. HR Programs and Infrastructure – Design and implement employee programs and systems that provide ease of access, accuracy, and serve as foundational pillars of employee engagement.Foster onboarding and learning programs that invest in team members, and maintain competitive performance. Workforce Planning – Forecast talent demand through the analysis of key metrics (growth, turnover, days to hire, business volume, etc.) and build a candidate pipeline to support organizational growth. Employee Brand – In partnership with marketing and senior leaders, define Company’ employee brand, using it as a framework for all talent acquisition initiatives. Training and Development – Leverage blended learning techniques to ensure staff understand how to succeed, with an emphasis on technical, soft skills and leadership curriculum. Legal Compliance – Ensure all hiring and employment decisions are done fairly and consistently, in compliance with all local, state and Federal statutes. Internal Communication – Partner with the business to create and maintain a regular, valued approach that connects and provides the “why” to all employees across the organization. Lead and Collaborate – Help build a results driven culture and team focused on rapid growth, patients and employee experience that values transparency and integrity; build effective relationships with the CEO, peers, staff and vendors. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: The Company’ CTO will be a seasoned talent leader with 10+ years overall experience, with at least 5 years experience in health care services and demonstrated roles of increasing responsibility throughout their career. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record building out an innovative, efficient and effective HR and talent acquisition capability in a dynamic, high growth environment. The incumbent will manage a current team of 3 individuals. She/he will ensure that Company’ employment practices are multifaceted, drawing a diverse and qualified candidate pool to the organization through practices that are legally compliant. The CTO will need to instill a culture of accountability, integrity, transparency and clear communication. As a fast-growing company, it is critical that the CTO have a strong orientation towards growth, results, peer and staff engagement, operational quality, cost control and overall financial performance of the organization. Previous experience working for a PE backed organization is strongly preferred. Specific experience: Growth - The CTO will focus on building a staff recruitment platform that can support rapid organic and inorganic growth. Specific experience hiring for multi site health care service delivery models is ideal.Ability to assess labor supply in potential markets to determine expansion feasibility. Employee engagement – experience creating and nurturing an employer of choice environment that attracted and retained valuable, high performing, patient centric professionals. Productivity – design and implementation of talent acquisition strategies that create qualified candidate pipelines, and filled open jobs in short timeframes.Create leading edge compensation programs that recognize and reward through differentiation of positions and incumbents. Process development – the CTO will have achieved success through the development of staffing processes and cross functional initiatives that successfully met the organization’s hiring and team member requirements. Regulatory knowledge - track record of creating recruiting and HR programs that were considerate of candidate diversity, and compliant with all employment and regulatory process statutes. Owner Mentality – The CTO must think and act like an owner of the business, always striving for efficient operational management, improved financial performance and accelerated business performance; must focus on all elements of business, operations and finance that lead to overall value creation for the entity.
