This team has successfully launched watches, handbags, sneakers, trading card, and apparel authentication in the US, CA, AU, UK and DE in under three years. We are a group of varied teammates who together make a complete business unit and are seeking a strategic lead to plan our future business plans.ResponsibilitiesYou will be joining the Authentication team as the Director of Strategy and Program Management, with the opportunity to have a substantial impact on a fast-growing business within eBay. In this role, you will be a key partner collating the authentication: technology, facilities, and business plans into one unified long-term strategy while delivering key launches and ensuring ongoing business continuity. You will work to position the team for business growth and scale. You thrive in a sea of white space, are comfortable with ambiguity, and can ground yourself in unfamiliar domains with research and analysis of the landscape culminating in supported proposals.The Job

  • Responsible for directly leading teams responsible for strategy, business operations and planning, go-to-market, and program management of the Authenticity Guarantee program and other adjacent businesses
  • Develop and maintain a three-year strategy for the Authenticity Guarantee program in partnership with operations, business unit stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Ensure Authentication planning process is designed and executed in alignment with broader eBay planning timelines and frameworks.
  • Develop and deliver presentations for executive approvals as needed across technology, operations, facilities and business functions pertaining to auth ops
  • Set strategy around vendor and partner relationships and execute on updates and changes such as contract renewals or new partnerships.
  • Be responsible for development of project plans for large initiatives and manage execution across the Authentication team.
  • Communicate strategy to all levels of the organization and gain alignment for future initiatives.
  • Manage multiple independent teams across strategy, go to market, and program management.
  • Develop and coach a team of strong individual contributors and people managers.
  • Travel 10% of time if in Bay Area, more if located elsewhereQualifications
    • 12+ years of experience preferably in consulting, strategy, corporate development or similar roles
    • Experience building and managing high performing strategy and planning teams
    • Ability to build out cases for executive approval by working with internal stakeholders, and developing business case form research and financial evaluation
    • Experience in the luxury and/or collectibles sectors
    • Experience running enterprise level planning processes as well as process design.
    • 5+ years managing multiple teams of senior managers and individual contributors
    • Finance exposure and P&L management a plus
    • Data-centric and analytics driven with robust experience developing proposals to enable executive decision making
    • Bring order to ambiguous situations, taking on challenges with high visibility, and bringing others on the journey
    • Untangling sophisticated processes, crafting strategic roadmaps, and telling compelling stories
    • You value partnership, collaboration, and approachability
    • You thrive in ambiguous, high visibility situations, and can operate with a high degree of autonomy
    • Impeccable attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness
    • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
