Your best is waiting to be discovered.Day - 08 Hour (United States of America)The Manager, Pharmacy Services - Informatics, Technology, & Analytics is an exciting opportunity to lead SHC Pharmacy Services toward an autonomous pharmacy model. The objectives of this team are to enhance operational excellence, provide data-driven insights, and develop the framework for adoption of AI and other advanced technologies for the pharmacy enterprise. The Manager will report directly to the Executive Director - Pharmacy Services and oversee a team of informatics pharmacists and data analysts.Responsibilities include managing systems/technologies utilized by department (Omnicell, Swisslog, Alaris, etc.), leveraging EPIC functionalities to streamline, simplify, and optimize pharmacy workflows, manage relationships with industry vendors, and oversee the development of the pharmacy data mart and reporting governance.The ideal candidate for this position is a pharmacist leader who has experience in informatics/pharmacy systems management. A PGY-2 in Informatics and/or Leadership or experience with report development would be added bonuses.This is a Stanford Health Care job.

This position manages the efficient and effective operations of pharmacy services. The individual also supervises and manages the associated personnel staff.

What you will do

  • Interprets and enforces established policies and procedures, creates new policies and procedures, designs and implements performance improvement initiatives that enhance safety, environmental, and infection control.
  • Provides oversight to pharmacy personnel with respect to the goals and objectives of the Pharmacy Department in collaboration with the leadership team to improve services provided and assures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design, implement, and monitor pharmacy practices to optimize medication management outcomes for patients.
  • Supervises and manages the technical support staff and staff clinical pharmacists.
  • Participates in Informatics meeting discussions and practice implementation relative to workflow processes to include validation of protocols and ERX records where applicable.
  • Partners across the organization to develop and implement solutions designed to improve member/client satisfaction; streamline processes between organizations for improved service delivery.
  • Reviews department performance, effects changes in collaboration with the pharmacy leadership team to improve services provided and assures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals to address issues related to patient drug therapy through the process of mutual information sharing, discussion, and decision making.
  • Oversees training programs for pharmacy staff, residents, and students.
    Education Qualifications
    • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or university.
      Experience Qualifications
      • Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
        Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
        • Knowledge of California State Board of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations.
        • Knowledge of Title 22 regulations.
        • Knowledge of eMS regulations, both state and federal.
        • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and Skill in the use of establishing policies and in writing procedures and communication to coworkers.
        • Ability to interpret new laws, guidelines as applied to the practice of Pharmacy.
        • Ability to interpret regulations and guidelines as applicable to the practice of Pharmacy.
          Licenses and Certifications
          • Licensed as a Pharmacist by the California Board of Pharmacy within 120 Days
