Job Description:
Our client is a fast-growing food manufacturer that is looking
for a Purchasing Manager who can help them as they continue to grow
the business. This individual will be responsible for the design of
strategies by category to optimize negotiations, the creation of
the productivity roadmap, and must also create and apply purchasing
policies, identify new partners and ensure innovation in the
area.Job Responsibilities:Execute contracts with ingredient and
packaging suppliers to maintain supplyNegotiate ingredient costs
with key suppliers and reduce costs overallForecasting and
reporting the COGS portion of the P&LWork with Food Safety,
Quality, and R&D to source new ingredientsWork hard to ensure
that cost, nutrition, sustainability and food safety guidelines are
metClosely monitoring ingredient inventory levels to determine
appropriate order quantitiesBuild strong supplier relationships to
ensure standards are continually met and improved uponSupplier
sourcing and scanning to meet specificationsRequired
Skills/Qualifications: 3+ years experience in Procurement/Supply
Chain with a track record of purchasing in top food categories and
related materials (Packaging, supplies, equipment)Rigorous
data-driven/analytical capability & ability and presence to present
data effectively to a leadership teamStrong interpersonal skills,
communication and organizationPossess strong presentation and
relationship building skillsCurious, logical, and action
orientedPassion for working in a fast-paced environment and a
proven ability to multi-taskExcel in a fast growing environment and
excited to create new procedures and processes from scratch, with a
strong entrepreneurial mindsetBe agile, adaptable, and thrive in a
