Billing Department Manager will be retiring at the end of the year and we would like to hire someone to begin training to fill the position. Below is the job description and the salary range. It is an in office, full time position.

Job description
Candidate must have two or more years of bookkeeping and billing experience, preferably in a law firm, experience in A/R, preparation and review of prebills, submission of invoices to clients. Experience with electronic billing and appeals are a plus. Candidate must understand and demonstrate all aspects of the billing function. This position will report to the Managing Shareholder and Chief Financial Officer.
Qualifications:
Two or more years of bookkeeping and billing experience, preferably in a law firm
Accounts receivable experience
Experience with electronic billing software and client billing guidelines
Experience with accurate preparation, review, and editing of monthly prebills in connection with submission of invoices to clients
Experience with preparation of various monthly billing reports for review by attorneys, Managing Shareholder and CFO.
Experience with monthly pre-bills for review by attorneys; with follow up edits as directed by attorney
Experience with trust accounts, retainer deposits, processing payments from trust account as directed by the attorney
Ability to resolve billing issues with clients directly, with ease, confidence and professionalism
Strong experience in Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional, team player attitude; ability to work with attorneys and staff to resolve billing issues.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00
