Summary
About the Position: This position is located with the: US Army
Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, Programs and Project
Management Division in Sacramento, CA. This position is eligible
for telework, but is not a remote or virtual position. Prospective
applicants must be willing to report to the duty station location
identified above.

Duties
- Serves as Chief, Sacramento Basin Project Center (SBPC),
responsible for the management of a diverse workforce engaged in
project management, and design and construction execution of USACE
high priority Mega and "Mega-Like" projects.
- Responsible for development and accomplishment of the assigned
projects for the mid- and working level governance structure.
- Monitors design and construction fiscal progress.
- Conducts periodic program review and analysis briefings to
compare progress with objectives and established milestones.
- Coordinates with and supports the on-site Resident Office
Engineers and staff engaged in construction operations and contract
administration.
- Monitors contract administration activities.
- Interfaces with customers and represents the District Commander
at meetings, briefings, conferences, hearings, etc. higher
leadership, stakeholders, contractors, congressional
representatives and/or their staff, etc.
- Supervises an immediate diverse staff of professional,
technical and administrative employees engaged in project
management, budgeting and resourcing, scheduling.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which
includes managing and directing project management and/or technical
staff in the planning, design and/or construction of large
infrastructure projects at a Branch level or higher; leading
multi-discipled teams including engineering, construction,
contracting environmental, real estate and/or resource management
functions; representing a Branch or higher organization, on all
technical matters, to high level internal and external contacts.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work
performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal
service (GS-14).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in

- Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who
have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks

Education
