to coordinate and oversee their organization's operations. The
operations manager's role is mainly to implement the right
processes and practices across the organization. The specific
duties of an operations manager include formulating strategy,
improving performance, procuring material and resources and
securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team
members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service and
implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately, we'll trust
you to help them remain compliant, efficient and profitable during
the course of business. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Long-term planning to create initiatives that further the
company's overall goals
- Coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and
provide cross-team learning opportunities
- Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to
minimize expenses and optimize profits
- Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best
through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
- Communicating with senior management about shifting company
priorities and projects
- Identifying potential problems and points of friction and
working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and
revenue
- Identifying opportunities to expand or shift course in order to
take advantage of changes in the marketRequirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5-years' experience in the role of an operations manager
- Understands a job is done when complete and the need to meet
deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to professionally
communicate and provide solutions to team
- Experience managing projects distributed over multiple
teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Intermediate or higher skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Manage a team of customer service, account executives and
warehouse/production employees.
- Manage the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle
and secure any unique materials and/or equipment required to
complete the project.
- Execute all obligations associated with the project
contract.
- Interview, select, and train new employees.
- Meet with team members one-on-one to provide continual coaching
and evaluation of process and procedures.
- Monitor day to day work of staff for process adherence and
compliance
